Masteryo Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 14, 2026
Delightek ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of the children and families who use our educational mobile application, Masteryo. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information from users of Masteryo.
COPPA Compliant Privacy Shield
Masteryo is designed for elementary school children. We strictly adhere to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) regulations and minimize any collection of child data.
1. Information We Collect
To create a secure and customized experience while protecting your family's privacy, we collect the following minimal information:
- Parental Account Information: To create a secure account, parents provide an email address and password, or use secure Single Sign-On (SSO) options.
- Minimal Child Profiles: To customize the learning experience, parents may provide a first name or nickname and a grade level for each child profile. No full names, emails, or contact information are ever requested from or collected about children.
- Educational Progress Data: We store completed mission progress, question accuracy, and interaction history with our AI Tutor in our secure Firestore database to allow parents to track learning metrics.
- Technical Device Metadata: Anonymized technical specifications (such as operating system version, device model, and language setting) to ensure optimal app rendering and stability.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We believe in strict data minimization. Outside of the minimal child profile (first name/nickname and grade level) provided by parents, we strictly enforce these boundaries:
- We do NOT collect child contact info, such as email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, or school details.
- We do NOT allow children to enter free-form text or upload images that could contain personal identifiers.
- We do NOT use third-party behavioral tracking, profiling SDKs, or advertising networks inside the Masteryo application.
3. How Data is Stored and Shared
Any progress or performance data collected is used strictly to power the core educational features of the app:
- Local Storage: Most progress data is stored directly on your child's device.
- Cloud Synchronization: Anonymized progress files may be synced to our secure database hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) to allow cross-device play. This sync uses a random ID and is not linked to any personal identifiers.
- No Sharing: We do NOT sell, rent, or share any progress or device data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
4. Parental Rights and Settings
Under COPPA, parents have full control over their child's data. Even though we do not collect personal identifiers, we respect your rights:
- You can reset or delete your child's local learning progress at any time directly through the Parent Dashboard in the app settings.
- You can refuse further collection of progress data by disabling cloud sync settings or uninstalling the app.
- If you have any questions or would like to request deletion of any synced anonymous progress linked to your device ID, you can contact us directly.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard physical, electronic, and managerial security procedures to safeguard any anonymous data we collect in our database, ensuring compliance with global cloud engineering best practices.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app features or regulatory requirements. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
